A Tale of Two Street Lights in One Road

Walking along a road in the lovely village of Birkdale on the Lancashire coast recently I was struck by how one street could have such different lights. One exudes charm to complement the splendid red brick houses which Liverpool's Victorian merchants had built ...the other.....not so much. Which do you prefer?
